Youth Apprenticeship – Madison Metropolitan School District
Youth Apprenticeship (YA) is a one- or two- year program for high school juniors or seniors who want an internship in a high-growth industry.
In the program, students take technical coursework and find an internship where they work a minimum of 450 paid, mentored hours (approximately 10-15 hours a week per school year, plus summers). Students earn wages and school credit while also building relationships with professionals and trying out an industry while still in high school.
