M3 Insurance Acquires Miller Services, Inc. in Rockford

M3 Insurance (M3) announces the acquisition of Miller Services, Inc. dba 2HB Human Resources Solutions Group, a 5-year-old Rockford, IL-based company providing customized human resource and employee benefits solutions to businesses and public entities. Effective September 24, 2021, Laurie S. Miller, president of Miller Services Inc., will serve as M3’s Director of Employee Benefits – Rockford Market. The addition of Laurie and her team serves to boost M3’s existing presence and commitment to the Rockford and northern Illinois region.

Laurie brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge, and expertise to M3 with a strong focus on manufacturing, banking and public entities. In June 2021, she was recognized as one of “Twenty People You Should Know” by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.  In 2018, she was the Rockford Chamber of Commerce’s Woman Business Owner of the Year. She was awarded the national Risk & Insurance Power Broker designation six times, recognizing her as someone who stands out among their peers for exceptional client work and innovation.

M3 opened its Rockford office in 2019, establishing a team of professionals armed with resources to help clients with property & casualty, employee benefits, financial services, personal lines, and more.

Vogel Bros. Building Co./SARA Investment Real Estate: Octopi October Expansion

WAUNAKEE, WIS. – Octopi Is Expanding. A groundbreaking celebration will occur on Friday October 1, 2021 at 12:00 noon CDT to celebrate the beginning of construction on a new 200,000 square foot (sf) facility for Octopi Brewing at 1130 Uniek Drive, Waunakee.

The new facility, developed by SARA Investment Real Estate of Madison, will be leased to Octopi Brewing expanding operations from their main building across the street. The new building, to be completed in the summer of 2022, will house a variety packaging line, shipping, and receiving operations for Octopi. The building features 14 loading docks, a 14,000 sf cooler, a 5,000 sf freezer, and 113,000 sf of open warehouse space. The building has been designed by Aro Eberle Architects and Vogel Bros. Building Co is Construction Manager.

Northwestern Mutual – Southern Wisconsin Strengthens Commitment To End Childhood Cancer Donating $60,000 to Garding Against Cancer

MIDDLETON, WI — Sept. 28, 2021 – This year alone, more than 15,000 children will be diagnosed with childhood cancer. Northwestern Mutual, along with its financial advisors and employees, is devoted to accelerating the search for better treatments and cures for childhood cancer, while also supporting families battling the disease and survivors struggling with the late effects of treatment. Through its Foundation, the company is recognizing seven of its offices for their notable support of the cause through the 2021 Childhood Cancer Impact Awards.

Leadership Team Expands at Wegner CPAs

Tim has been a driving force in the Assurance Department for over ten years with his diverse client experience, in addition to his keen management skills. Seidel works with a wide range of clients including nonprofit organizations, manufacturers, construction contractors, grain elevators, and family businesses. GHC-SCW Expands Dane County HMO Primary Care Clinic Network

GHC-SCW members will have access to the largest primary care network in Dane County.

Madison, WI – Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) announces a new partnership with UW Health and UnityPoint Health – Meriter resulting in the addition of 19 HMO primary care clinic locations in Dane County to its network.

“Providing the highest quality care and ease of access is at the forefront of everything we do at GHC-SCW,” said Dr. Mark Huth, GHC-SCW President and Chief Executive Officer. “Access to care is at the core of a healthy community; so, we are thrilled to expand the collaboration with our important partners at UW Health and UnityPoint Health – Meriter to provide a patient-first approach. Allowing our members to have the most choices of primary providers and the most convenience for clinic locations creates a big footprint for our health plan.”

Effective January 1, 2022, GHC-SCW members will have access to the largest primary care network in Dane County, with 38 total clinics and over 300 primary care providers, including UW Health, UnityPoint Health – Meriter, Access Community Health Centers and GHC-SCW clinics.
