Infosec unveils expanded channel program to address security & IT professional skills and certification training
MADISON, Wis., April 24, 2019 — Infosec today announced major enhancements to its popular Infosec Channel Partner Program for managed services providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), value-added resellers (VARs) and OEMs. In addition to security awareness and training solution Infosec IQ, the program now includes both Infosec Skills and Infosec Flex to create the only channel program in the industry to provide across-the-board, full-spectrum training needs for the clients of channel partners.
“Organizations face two primary security training issues today; their employees are not trained properly about cybersecurity and their security and IT staff are undertrained,” said Mike Nobers, director of global channel sales at Infosec. This is due to ever-changing security techniques and employees being recruited away to other companies because of the qualified security pro shortage.
“Infosec partners can now speak to this bigger issue across their client’s organization with Infosec IQ for employee security awareness training, plus Infosec Skills and Infosec Flex to address retaining and growing their security and IT teams,” Nobers added.
With Infosec IQ in their portfolios, channel partners can help clients build a cyber-alert workforce equipped to recognize, avoid and report suspicious activity, such as phishing. The Infosec Skills and Infosec Flex platforms are designed to ensure the client’s IT and security team’s skills are scaled to outsmart the latest threats and build defenses to counter tomorrow’s threats.
Free to join and easy to implement, the Infosec Channel Partner Program offers:
- Unique to the industry — the most complete, one-stop shopping security awareness training program with access to Infosec IQ, Infosec Skills and Infosec Flex
- Technical sales training to help clients build effective security awareness programs
- Automation tools that make it easy to build security awareness training programs to deliver the right content to the right learner at the right time
- Delegated administration that allows management of multiple clients’ security awareness programs from one platform
- Automatic report generation that makes it easy to track and share training performance
- Customizable learning experiences via more than 300 modules, including critical training in phishing, suspicious hosts, ransomware and password security
Launched in October 2018, the Infosec Channel Partner Program provides generous margins for channel partners. All partners receive dedicated channel sales support, marketing resources and training to be successful.

SUNBURST CHAIRS WILL RETURN TO THE MEMORIAL UNION TERRACE APRIL 18
Terrace Season to begin with community event
MADISON – Terrace season kicks off April 18 at 4 p.m. with the annual return of the Memorial Union Terrace’s iconic sunburst chairs, and the Wisconsin Union team welcomes community members to take part in the chairs’ arrival.
The return of the chairs marks the beginning of Terrace Season, Madison’s longest-running summer entertainment series.
Community members may begin lining up to return the chairs at the N. Park Street entrance to the Terrace at 3 p.m. Chairs will be available on a first come, first served basis to those seeking to enjoy the first day of Terrace season. Each person in line will pick up a chair or two to take onto the Terrace, where the Union team will already have placed tables.
The first 200 guests who arrive will receive brand new Terrace swag. Additionally, the Union team will randomly give away a limited number of bags filled with 2019 Terrace season swag. The celebration will also feature a free, Terrace-themed art event hosted by the Union’s Wheelhouse Studios, while supplies last, beginning at 4:15 p.m.; a performance by DJ Ian Carroll, as well as free popcorn and ice cream on a first come, first served basis.
“The Terrace is a major part of Madison summer, and we want to include community members, because they have an important role in making the Terrace so wonderful,” said Brennan Bahr, UW-Madison junior and Union vice president of external relations. “It’s because of the community’s support that we’ve been able to hold Terrace season for more than 90 years.”
Student leaders from the Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) and Bucky will be on hand to help ring in the start of Terrace season. WUD student leaders organize, promote and execute most of the events that take place at Memorial Union, including those that happen at the Terrace.
“When people come to the Terrace, they’re both having fun and making a difference,” Bahr said. “Purchases made at Memorial Union help support student leadership opportunities.”
The 2019 Terrace season will include the return of the Terrace After Dark music and film series to the UW Credit Union Terrace Stage, which will feature free film showings and free, live music. Terrace After Dark is presented by WUD with generous support from Dean Health Plan, a member of SSM Health, and the UW Credit Union.
Terrace season will also include yoga on the Terrace and Lake Mendota, paddling rentals, and arts and crafts events.
On Terrace opening day, Memorial Union’s year-round dining options will be available to members and guests. Later this summer, four seasonal dining options, called the Brat Stand, the BBQ Stand, Lakeview Lounge and Sunset Lounge will also open.

April 9, 2019 (Madison, WI) — The U.S. Small Business Administration will honor Laura Gallagher during National Small Business Week May 5-11 at a ceremony in Waukesha, Wisconsin on May 10th . Gallagher is the Wisconsin Women in Business Champion of the Year.
Laura Gallagher is President and CEO of The Creative Company, Inc. a PR and Digital Agency she founded 30 years ago in Wisconsin. She is among 17 small businesses and champions from around Wisconsin to be recognized.
Laura Gallagher is one of 90 women in Wisconsin to be recognized by the Governor as a Trailblazer in Wisconsin. She is a 2016 graduate of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) program with Harvard professor Michael W. Porter and the recipient of a scholarship from Goldman Sachs to become a scholar in 2017 at Babson College as part of the highly competitive 10KSB program for entrepreneurs.
In 2017, Gallagher became a USA Ambassador for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) representing Wisconsin. With the help of a diverse and inclusive board of leaders from every sector, Gallagher produced a sold-out conference for women in Wisconsin in 2017, as well as 2018. She brought many of the resources from her Babson and ICIC experiences as well her 30 years in business to the movement making a real impact in the lives of women in business in this region. She also served as a Regional Ambassador helping other US Ambassadors and worked with women from around the world to empower, support and celebrate women in business.
More than half of attendees of the WEDWisconsin conferences said they are more likely to seek capital to grow their businesses as a result of attending. 96% left more confident. It is a diverse and inclusive stage as well as an audience that represented a number of sectors, with 400 women in attendance each year.
Gallagher also secured a proclamation from Dane County Executive Joe Parisi (2018) and Mayor Paul Soglin (2017) to join women globally as part of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day movement naming November 19th officially Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. Because of Gallagher’s leadership, the State of Wisconsin and the Governor proclaimed November 14th through the 19th Women’s Entrepreneurship Week in Wisconsin.
Until 1988, the year before Gallagher started her company, a woman couldn’t legally get a business loan without a man’s signature. Gallagher started her company in 1989. Today, women represent the fastest growing segment of new business start-ups. The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that only 17.2% of women owned businesses started since 1994 have survived. The Creative Company has been recognized with numerous Alchemy and Marcum Awards, has twice been recognized as one of the best places to work and as one of the best ad agencies in Wisconsin.
Eric Ness, SBA’s Wisconsin district director, congratulated Laura Gallagher saying, “Wisconsin’s 448,000 small business owners can find inspiration and resources for their own success with this champions and Wisconsin’s 2019 National Small Business Week award winners.
