DeWitt Welcomes Two Attorneys to the Firm
MADISON | MILWAUKEE | MINNEAPOLIS – Today DeWitt LLP announced the addition of attorneys Minard “Mike” Halverson and Cecilia C. Kress to the firm. Halverson joins the firm as a partner in its Minneapolis office. Kress joins DeWitt as an associate in its Madison office.
Halverson is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group and has extensive experience with litigation matters, case analysis, strategic planning, and negotiations. His experience includes matters related to business, product liability, commercial law, litigation, contract law and construction law.
He is a veteran of the United States Army, where he served on active duty while specializing in Satellite Communications. Halverson is also a former member of the North Carolina Army National Guard. He earned his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Halverson is licensed to practice in Minnesota and North Carolina.
Kress is a member of DeWitt’s Business and Real Estate practice groups. She has experience representing businesses ranging from small privately held companies to large Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of matters including stock and asset acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and reorganizations. Kress also assists her clients with their ongoing corporate governance needs and has guided both investors and emerging growth companies through debt and equity financings.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her B.A., college honors, from Washington University in St. Louis. During law school she was a Judicial Intern for former Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Kress is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Ayers and Gregerson Promoted to Officers at Capitol Bank
Ken Thompson, President and CEO of Capitol Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mandy Ayers to Director of Human Resources/Officer at Capitol Bank. In addition, Natalie Gregerson was elevated to Director of Marketing/Officer.
“Mandy and Natalie have implemented many initiatives in their respective departments that are having a positive impact on the Bank,” said Thompson.
Mandy has been an HR professional for 25 years and is involved with the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, Greater Madison Area SHRM Roundtable and WBA Compensation & Benefits Taskforce.

Natalie has six years of marketing experience and is involved in United Way of Dane County and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Matt Flynn Joins M3 as Account Executive
Madison, WI – Matt Flynn recently joined M3 Insurance as a property and casualty account executive. In this role, he consults with and advises small market clients on the design, implementation and management of their business insurance coverage.
Matt graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. His diverse experience in the insurance industry spans employee benefits as well as property and casualty. Matt spent five years as a commercial sales representative with Humana before transitioning to a local Madison area firm to become a small commercial market property and casualty agent. He served in that role for seven years before joining the M3 team in March 2020.

Zahler and Schultz Receive Promotions at Capitol Bank
Ken Thompson, President and CEO of Capitol Bank, is pleased to announce the promotions of Sheri Zahler and Sara Schultz to Senior Loan Representatives. Sheri and Sara have a combined 34 years of experience, 23 of those with Capitol Bank.
“Both Sheri and Sara have been instrumental in helping to manage the high volume of mortgages and SBA PPP loans in 2020,” said Thompson.
As for community involvement, Sheri recently completed terms on the Verona Lacrosse Club and Badgerland Lacrosse boards and now serves as a board member for the Natural Path Sanctuary, part of the Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability.

Capitol Bank: Anne Conlin Promoted to Assistant Vice President / Relationship Banking
Ken Thompson, President and CEO of Capitol Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Anne Conlin to Assistant Vice President Relationship Banking. Anne has over 20 years of banking experience, 11 of which have been with Capitol Bank.
“Anne is the essence of relationship banking. She makes it a point to get to know the Bank’s customers and they have a high level of trust in her,” said Gary Kuter, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking & Chief Compliance Officer.
Aside from all that Anne brings to Capitol Bank, she finds time to give back to the community. Most recently, she has been an involved volunteer for Lussier Community Education Center and serves on the board of Girls’ Stories, Girls’ Voices.
