State Bank of Cross Plains to Hold Crop Insurance Info Meetings for Wisconsin Farmers

January 9, 2020, EVANSVILLE, Wisconsin—Ahead of the March 16th deadline to purchase crop insurance for the 2020 growing season, State Bank of Cross Plains (some locations formerly UB&T) invites farmers to attend its Crop Insurance Meeting series, to inform their planning for the coming year.

This is a public event. You do not need to be a customer of State Bank of Cross Plains or former customer of UB&T to attend.

Over the last two weeks of January, SBCP’s team of Ag experts will host five meetings throughout South Central Wisconsin, answering questions, sharing insights, and helping farmers decide the best path forward for their farm business. Choose the most convenient date and location for your needs. Topics include:

  • Commodity Analysis and Grain Market Analysis
  • 2020 Crop Insurance and Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) updates
  • Best supplemental product options
  • Tariffs and their impact on supply and demand
  • Making your Ag Risk Coverage & Price Loss Coverage (ARC/PLC) decision
  • Corn Warriors
  • Illinois State Record Soybean Grower (Whitewater event only)
  • The Future is Now

With more than 50 years of combined crop insurance experience, SBCP’s Ag team is dedicated to providing the best service and knowledge in the industry. The bank’s crop insurance specialists – Heather Golz, Emily Johnson, Nicole McNeely, Ross Retzlaff, and Jessica Sarbacker – will host the meetings, which will feature presentations by and conversations with industry experts.

“The Crop Insurance and Farm Service Agency (FSA) program options available to farmers can be overwhelming, and like most business owners, farmers need guidance on how to best tailor benefits to fit their unique needs,” says Sarbacker. “This is one of the main reasons we established the Crop Insurance Meeting series. We can educate farmers about the tools available to them while our guest speakers can keep them up-to-date on industry standards.”

Attendance is free, all meetings begin at 10:00 a.m., and lunch will be provided. Space is limited, so farmers are encouraged to call or visit the nearest SBCP office to reserve their spot.

Participants can also RSVP by visiting www.sbcp.bank or by calling (608) 835-1248.
